Delivery Information

Due to rising costs we are unable to offer free delivery, however, we do offer a comprehensive delivery and installation service.

 -       Local postcodes attracting a Zone 1 charge are delivered to in our own vehicles by our highly experienced delivery staff.

 -       Postcodes attracting a Zone 2 charge are delivered to by an external courier service.

Zone 1 Deliveries - Measuring for your delivery

 1A. Zone 1 Deliveries - Delivery staff will deliver to the room of your choice provided there is good access.  All packaging from unpacked items will be removed and returned to our delivery depot for recycling.

 1B. Most furniture is fully assembled, however, for larger items such as wardrobes, the delivery staff will unpack, assemble and remove all packaging.

 

Zone 2 Deliveries - Measuring for your delivery

2A. Zone 2 Deliveries – The external courier will deliver the goods to your door-step at the supplied address.

2B. Most furniture is fully assembled, however, for larger items such as wardrobes, the items will be supplied in component parts, with the customer to construct in situ.

 

3.  Furniture must be checked and signed for at the time of delivery. In the event of any problem being discovered post delivery; please e-mail pictures and a short explanation to office@whatnots.co.uk

4. If a delivery fails because a customer is not in to take delivery; a new delivery charge will be made and must be paid before the second delivery attempt is made.

Lead times for delivery are for guidance only. Please note each supplier will have different delivery lead times and, if you have ordered from multiple suppliers, your order may need to be consolidated before it is sent to you. If a supplier does overrun on a delivery we will tell you as soon as we are informed.

 

DELIVERY TIMES

The customer will be contacted and given an estimated time slot for delivery and a further courtesy call will be made on the day to give a more informed time – it is important that we are advised of any impediments to deliveries in Zone 1 (e.g. narrow staircases) as delays will adversely following customer deliveries

 

INSURANCE

Our insurance cover extends to the front door of the delivery address. Delivery staff are required to wear protective footwear so, please, do not ask them to remove their footwear. Responsibility once past the threshold is entirely the customer's so please make sure carpets/flooring are protected, anything on walls removed, anything in the path of the delivery moved and access checked.
